		<description><![CDATA[These are the Terms of Use for the Training Facility at Melbourne House.]]></description>

The Third Sector Hub Training Facility at Melbourne House, Grimsby is available for general hire as a meeting room, training room or as a full IT training facility for up to 10 people.  Newly refurbished and equipped to a high specification, this town centre venue is ideal for many meeting and training purposes. The room is located on the 1st floor of Melbourne House<br />
at 16 Town Hall Street, Grimsby, DN31 1HN.<br />
Access is via VANEL reception at 14 Town Hall Street.</p>

<h2>Availability</h2>

The meeting room has been part financed through external funding and is for the use of the third sector in North East Lincolnshire.  Third Sector organisation bookings will take preference unless pre-payment has been received from other organisations</p>
<p>The room is normally available as a meeting room between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday and up to 6pm is possible with prior arrangement.</p>
<p>The room is normally available from 9.30am as a training room to allow for setup time.</p>
<h2>IT training facilities</h2>
<p>6 up to date desktop PCs are available plus 4 laptops<br />
All desktops purchased March 2008.  Laptops purchased March 2009.<br />
8Mb internet capability on all machines (laptops are wireless).<br />
Windows XP on all machines.<br />
6 desktops can be configured for Windows Vista instead of XP.<br />
Microsoft Office 2003 available on all machines.<br />
6 desktops have Office 2007 on Vista as an alternative.<br />
Machines are reset before each training course and as necessary can be configured to your specific environments.</p>
<p>A networked printer is available for b&#038;w and colour printing from the training machines.  This also includes a scanner.</p>
<h2>Refreshments</h2>
<p>When the room is booked as a Training facility (IT or otherwise) then drinks (water, tea, coffee etc) and biscuits are provided for the trainer and trainees within the hire costs.</p>
<p>When booked as a meeting room, refreshment costs (water, tea, coffee, biscuits) are as follows:</p>
<p>Hourly bookings            50p per person<br />
Half day bookings           £1 per person<br />
Full day bookings            £2 per person</p>
<p>Drinks are served from a Flavia drinks machine.  Alternative arrangements via our kitchen or a Burco water boiler can be made on request.</p>
<h2>Catering</h2>
<p>There are no catering facilities on site (small kitchenette only).<br />
Catering for lunches etc will need to be provided through external caterers.  You can make your own arrangements (and inform us) or we can arrange catering for a £10 admin fee.</p>
<h2>Other Equipment</h2>
<p>Other equipment is available on request for use in the room.  Most of this equipment can also be hired separately from the Third Sector Hub if necessary.</p>

<p>All of the above equipment is provided free of charge for ½ day or full day bookings when the room is booked as a Training room (rather than as a meeting room).</p>
<p>Above rates are for affiliated third sector organisations.  Please enquire for other rates.</p>
<p>There is no telephone in the room.</p>
<h2>Office services</h2>
<p>Additional photocopying or printing is available at 2p per sheet.<br />
Colour printing is 5p per sheet.</p>
<p>Printing on the printer in the room is provided free for Training course bookings subject to acceptable use.  Over 100 sheets will be charged at 2p or 5p per sheet.</p>
<h2>Special requirements</h2>
<p>The room is on the first floor (up a staircase) and may not be fully accessible to those with certain mobility issues. </p>
<p>There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor.<br />
A mobile hearing loop is available on request (free with room bookings).</p>
<h2>Parking</h2>
<p>The closest parking is Abbey Walk car park.  £5 per day.  Open until 7pm.</p>
<p>Melbourne House is within walking distance of Grimsby railway station and other town centre parking.</p>
<h2>TO BOOK</h2>
<p>The Melbourne House Training Facility is managed through the North East Lincolnshire Third Sector Hub.  Booking is via the Hub (www.thirdsectorhub.org.uk)</p>

<p>Room hire is secured only with a deposit of 50% of the room hire fee.</p>
<p>Cancellation will incur a charge as follows:<br />
    Less than 2 working days before date of booking – 100%<br />

    More than 5 working days – 20%</p>

Many of these resources have been purchased through specific funding and are generally made available through VANEL for the benefit of Voluntary, Community or Third Sector groups across North East Lincolnshire. <p>Equipment includes (examples) : audio navigator, computers, children’s play toys (various), dictaphones, digital cameras, display board, flip chart, giant outdoor games (various), guillotine, hearing loop system, interactive whiteboard, laptop (Wi Fi), PAT tester, printer, projector, projector screen, garden tools and seating, staging, tables and chairs, sharestation DVD writer, video cameras</p>
<p>Hire of Common Treasury equipment is via the organisations holding the equipment.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A well equipped meeting room, training facility and IT suite is available at <strong>16 Town Hall Street, Grimsby</strong> at Melbourne House &#8211; the offices of <a href="http://www.vanel.org.uk">VANEL</a> &#038; the <strong>Third Sector Hub</strong>.</p>
<p>The room can serve a number of different purposes and is available as a cost-effective resource for the Third Sector although is available to hire to public &#038; private sector too.</p>
<p>The room can take up to 12 people comfortably for board room style meetings, or up to 20 for other meeting formats.  It is equipped with a range of IT equipment for use as a Training room and can also support up to 10 trainees for IT training courses.</p>
<p>The Melbourne House Training Facility is a first floor meeting/training room at 16 Town Hall Street, Grimsby (known as Melbourne House).</p>
<p>The room has been refurbished to a high standard during 2007/8 with support from Yorkshire Forward and the room is managed through the Third Sector Hub initiative based at VANEL.</p>
<p>The room is available to book as a meeting room, as a training room or as a full, 10 seat IT training facility.  In addition, the room can also be used by Affiliate members of VANEL for access to IT equipment as needed.</p>
