Need to know

Resources you need to know about…

There is no shortage of information or resources available to those involved with the running of or development of Third Sector Organisations. But which resources are really useful? Which should you be consulting or using? Which hold the information you need to change the way your organisation operates or develops?

We’ll be posting information regularly into this “Need to Know” category on resources we come across (or have recommended) that you should know about.

They may be books, publications, websites, services or anything else. But we’re not highlighting everything. If it’s purely informational – how to run a meeting, how to build a website, how to create a fundraising campaign – then we’ll not be listing it. We’re looking for resources that when combined with a will to change, will impart skills, knowledge or support that will help you and your organisation change direction, evolve, survive, grow or develop.

Please comment on the resources we highlight – what do you think about them.

Or please comment here and let us know about other resources you think we should promote.

Here’s a quick list of the resources so far…

“Pathways through the maze”
– guide to procurement
The Compact Guides for North East Lincolnshire
SCMS – procurement & tendering online
KnowHowNonProfit – guide to everything third sector online
